Quintessential Jazz Band has been playing jazz together throughout the Lower Mainland and beyond since 2004. The band enjoys playing jazz standards and original compositions, interpreting them with our own sound and unique flair that we call “Classic Jazz with a Twist.” The band has released four albums – Almost Live (2006) Quintessential Christmas (2007) Quintessential Coffee (2010) and Espressivo (2017). The band has played hundred of gigs throughout the Lower Mainland for all types of events – festivals, corporate, awards shows, house concerts, the Envision Coffee House Concert series, and more. Quintessential was the winner of the 2018 Fraser Valley Music Awards in the Jazz category. The band has managed to continue throughout the challenges of the pandemic and has recently starting playing gigs again now that restrictions have been eased.
