About The Artist

Located in Chilliwack, BC

Born in a bedroom in Mission, British Columbia, Western Jaguar is the ever-evolving musical endeavour of multi-instrumentalist, Jeffrey Trainor. Throughout Western Jaguar’s history, Trainor has and continues to collaborate with a wide array of friends and artists to bring his music to life, often performing alongside many of them.

Taking influence from artists such as DIIV, Death Cab for Cutie and Band of Horses, Western Jaguar’s sonic footprint creates an unmatched mix of indie rock, dream pop and shoegaze. Western Jaguar has also drawn comparisons to Nada Surf, Slowdive, The Twilight Sad and Real Estate.

On top of this, Western Jaguar won a 2019 Fraser Valley Music Award for “Live Performer of the Year” and have built a reputation as an authentic and spirited live performer throughout their history.

Heralded for a “signature reverb-heavy guitars, throbbing bass and high-voltage percussion,” Western Jaguar is a welcome addition to any lineup, music festival or playlist.
