About The Artist

Located in Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada

Born in a bedroom in Mission, British Columbia, Western Jaguar is the ever-evolving musical endeavor of multi-instrumentalist Jeffrey Trainor. Drawing influence from artists such as Foals, Nada Surf, Bombay Bicycle Club and The 1975, Western Jaguar blends elements of indie rock, dream pop and new wave to create a signature, and ever-changing sonic experience. Throughout Western Jaguar’s history, Trainor has collaborated with a wide array of friends and artists to bring his dynamic soundscapes to life. Western Jaguar’s trademark sound has taken him to over 80 stages across Western Canada and his authentic and spirited live performances earned him a 2019 Fraser Valley Music Award as the “Live Performer of the Year.” Heralded for his “signature reverb-heavy guitars, throbbing bass and high-voltage percussion,” Western Jaguar is a welcome addition to any lineup, festival or playlist.
