Fraser Valley recording artist, Michael Jantzen, carves out his own space between folk and country. He has a gift for weaving introspection into poetic narrative and stick-in-your head melodies. Combining his nuanced baritone and delicate guitar playing, he creates a distinct and inviting brand of roots music, infused with personal stories and West Coast imagery. Fans will soon have the chance to hear his new material upon the release of his sophomore solo album.

The folk rock band, Roads Unknown, which he founded with bandmate Tony Ivan O’Hara, won the 2020 Fraser Valley Music Award for roots group of the year and the Mission Celebration of the Arts Award for music group of the year.
