Connection to Fraser Valley: I have grown up in the Fraser Valley my whole life. The Tricities have really fostered my music and the surrounding nature and wildlife are significant inspirations for my songwriting.
Etienne Siew is an Alternative Folk song-writer of mixed ancestry from Coquitlam, B.C. As a canoe guide, and avid fisherman, his stories are deeply rooted in nature and his heart centred lyrics embody what we all love about the West Coast . Artists like Chris Stapleton, Ray Lamontagne, Dallas Green and James Taylor, inspire his work, and have helped to hone his unique expression of soaring vocals and warm acoustic melodies. Etienne explores the relatable themes of love, friendship and overcoming adversity in his Debut EP ‘Better Man,” which he has brought to stages throughout Vancouver, The Sunshine Coast and Vancouver Island. He is making his mark throughout the Pacific Northwest, and has performed at the CBC Plaza, The Kaleidoscope Festival, The Surrey Fusion Festival and has opened for international recording artists at the Evergreen Cultural Centre. Whether he is performing in a soft seated theatre, a festival stage or a campfire, his dynamic melodies, and powerful vocals will speak to your heart and make you feel as though you are walking right beside him in his stories.
