About The Artist

Located in Surrey

Connection to Fraser Valley: I lived in Abbotsford while completing my undergrad before moving to Mission and working In Chilliwack, Mission, and Abbotsford in the non--profit sector where I coordinated cultural diversity events and arts programming. I have been a regular performer for the Twilight Treasures Market as well as the annual Holiday Copper Market in Mission. I have been hired for music by the City of Mission for public events including the Tree lighting ceremony, and for the city of Abbotsford's Culture Days and for Volunteer Appreciation Day events. I was named a songwriter in residence for the city of Mission in 2024 for the Mission Record Project, where I performed two showcases. I regularly play at Fieldhouse and Locality brewing for live music nights as well.

Amy Van Bergen is a multimedia artist, poet, and singer/songwriter with over 200 original songs in her repertoire and over 15 years of live performance experience. Her songwriting style is folk/jazz storyteller, with a voice that’s been compared to “a crisp light beer” by one listener at a local brewery.
