About The Artist

Located in Coquitlam

Connection to Fraser Valley: I reside on the Traditional Territory of the Kwikwetlem First Nations People. I have grown up in this city and have had much of my songwriting inspired by the nature surrounding this beautiful area. Learning to fly fish and angle for salmon on the Coquitlam River, along with hiking the nearby forests, deepened my appreciation for the wildlife in this area and continues to inspire my music practice today. I also continue to perform throughout the Fraser Valley and Greater Vancouver, which has fostered my music over the past decade and more

Etienne Siew is an Alternative Folk Artist who crafts his immersive music from the beauty of B.C., where he often spends his time exploring nature. He has performed Internationally, and his authenticity as a song-writer earned him the distinction of the Country/Roots Artist of the Year and Top Fan Vote at the 2021 Fraser Valley Music Awards. This year, He was awarded funding through The Canada Council For The Arts to complete his most extensive body of work, a project of introspective songs about compassion and connection to others and our environment. His honesty and relatability comes through in his songs like “Better Days Ahead,” with heart centered messages about navigating adversity and self discovery through growth. Etienne aims to find the common threads that tie us together as people, and reflect them in an immersive folk style that will transport you to a place of comfort and self empowerment.”Etienne’s Vocals and Guitar set him apart from the masses. The room quiets to listen when he sings, like hearing the first Song Sparrow in early spring. Unique, connected, inimitable, beautiful” (Pam Burns, Professional emcee/Music Coordinator, 2022). Whether he is performing in a theater, or near a campfire, his blend of warm guitar melodies, and powerful vocals will speak to your heart and make you feel as though you are walking beside him in his stories.
